Contacts

  • Contacts are the individuals or organizations with which your business interacts, including subscribers, leads, and opportunities.

  • Contacts have a defined Lifecycle stage, which represents the stage of their relationship with your business.

Lists

  • Lists are collections of contacts in Hubspot that can be used for targeted marketing campaigns, personal follow-up, and more.

  • Lists can be static, meaning they are manually created and updated, or dynamic, meaning they are automatically updated based on specific criteria, such as lead score or lifecycle stage.

  • Lists can be used in conjunction with workflows, forms, and landing pages to automate and personalize the lead generation and sales process.

Marketing Emails

  • Marketing emails are used to reach a large audience and promote a product, service or event.

  • They can be automated based on specific triggers, such as filling out a form or visiting a landing page, or they can be manually sent to a list of contacts.

  • Marketing emails can be personalized with the recipient's information, such as their name, company name, and more.

Personal Emails

  • Personal emails are one-to-one conversations between a salesperson and a contact.

  • They are not typically automated (but can be using sequences), and are used to follow up on leads, answer questions, or provide more personalized information.

  • Personal emails can be customized with personalization tokens, allowing the salesperson to insert information from the contact's record, such as their name or company name.

Forms:

  • Forms are a great way to collect information from your contacts, such as their name, email, and other details.

  • You can add forms to your website, landing pages, and emails, making it easy for contacts to provide their information.

  • When a contact submits a form, their information is added to their contact in Hubspot.\

  • Forms can be set up to automatically trigger workflows and other marketing automation processes, helping you streamline your lead management.

  • Personalization can be added to forms, such as customizing the form fields, pre-populating information, and adding conditional logic to only show fields relevant to the lead.

Landing Pages

  • Landing pages are standalone web pages that are designed to convert visitors into leads.

  • They typically include a form for visitors to provide their information, as well as a clear call-to-action (CTA) that tells them what to do next.

  • Landing pages can be used for specific campaigns, such as product launches or event promotions, and they can be personalized and optimized for each audience.

  • You can create and manage your landing pages in hubspot, and track their performance to see which ones are converting the best.

Deals

  • Deals are opportunities to sell a product or service to a customer.

  • Deals are created when a lead views an ad or submits a form. The lead is automatically added to the "Lead Interested" stage.

  • The salesperson who is the deal owner is responsible for managing the deal and moving it through the different stages: Lead Interested, Tour Booked, Tour Completed, Account Created, Closed Won, Saving (Just Canceled or Set to Cancel), Recovering (Canceled more than 72 hrs ago), and Closed Lost.

  • Deal value/amount determines the salesperson's commission and must be accurate.

  • The line item must be manually selected by the salesperson, based on the customer's product choice.

  • Totals in each deal stage are displayed at the bottom of the stage column, as well as expected close rates.

  • The deals page is the "home" of the salesperson day-to-day.
