Spacemaker Onboarding

This SOP outlines the steps for onboarding new Spacemakers at Soundspace to ensure a consistent, efficient, and positive experience for all new hires.

Introduction

Purpose

To ensure that all new Spacemakers are given the necessary tools, access, and information to perform their roles effectively.

Scope

This SOP applies to all team members who are responsible for onboarding new Spacemakers at Soundspace.

Definitions

  • Spacemaker: A member of the Soundspace team responsible for promoting the space and bringing in new members.

  • Discord: A communication platform used for internal communication.

  • Kisi App: A mobile app that unlocks doors to the spaces.

  • Soundspace Membership: A membership that grants access to Soundspace locations and allows bookings on a shared calendar.

Responsibilities

  • HR Team: Provides the necessary information and access to the new Spacemaker.

  • New Spacemaker: Follows the onboarding process, understands their role, and adheres to the rules and guidelines of Soundspace.

Procedure

Preparation

  1. Approval: Once approved as a Spacemaker, the new hire will receive invites from the team to various platforms and services.

Execution

  1. Discord: The new Spacemaker will be added to the #Spacemakers channel on Discord.

  2. Kisi App Access: The new Spacemaker will be given access to the Kisi app for 24/7 access to the communal areas and the ability to access Record or Rehearsal spaces for conducting tours.

  3. Soundspace Membership: The new Spacemaker will receive a free Soundspace membership as a perk of being a Spacemaker. This perk can be revoked at any time if the membership is abused.

  4. Google Calendar: The new Spacemaker will be added to the Soundspace Events Google Calendar for organization and scheduling purposes.

  5. Onboarding: The new Spacemaker will be provided with all necessary information about Soundspace, its operations, and internal processes.

  6. Spacemaker Program Details: The new Spacemaker will be informed about the Spacemaker program, including expectations, payment details, and their unique referral code.

  7. Spacemaker Sales Process: The new Spacemaker will be trained on how to effectively communicate what Soundspace is, how to book tours, and how to close sales.

Completion

  1. Follow-up: HR will conduct a follow-up with the new Spacemaker after the first week to ensure that the onboarding process has been completed successfully, and to address any feedback or concerns.

Notes/Precautions

  • Ensure that all Spacemakers understand the rules and guidelines of Soundspace and the consequences of abusing their membership.

  • Keep all communication and documentation related to the new Spacemaker's onboarding for future reference and auditing purposes.
